The Innovation Agency, Academic Health Science Network for the North West Coast (formerly known as the North West Coast Academic Health Science Network NWC AHSN)
The Innovation Agency is one of 15 AHSNs established by the NHS in England during 2013 – 14 and covers a population of 4 million residents in Cheshire, Merseyside, South Cumbria and Lancashire within the United Kingdom.
The Networks are a product of the UK Government”s Innovation, Health and Wealth strategy. Their primary role is to form a network of NHS organisations, universities and businesses and achieve measurable results in the following key delivery areas:-
- To identify and address unmet need/ priority improvement areas
- To speed up the adoption of innovation
- To identify and enable research
- To create wealth

Charlotte Hall is Events Manager at the Innovation Agency. Charlotte’s role at the Innovation Agency focuses on facilitating innovation and education through events. These events provide a platform for industry leaders, healthcare specialists and partners to collaborate and improve care. Charlotte has a degree in Biomedical Science and previously worked for Diabetes UK, leading programmes that focused on education for people living with diabetes. She has a background as a facilitator as well as in events and project management. Charlotte has a passion for education and behavioural psychology; she is currently studying Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
